Online check-in for short-term rentals
Updated 2026-10-16
Collect guest details and an arrival time on the booking link before the access code goes out.
Online check-in is when a booking becomes an arrival. You need to know who is coming and roughly when. The guest needs to know the stay is actually arranged.
Do that in the portal, not in a form you email separately. The link belongs to the booking. Details, arrival time and the guidebook share one place. That is how you cut the repeat questions that otherwise show up the night before.
Ask for the names of people who will stay, an estimated arrival, and only the extra fields you will actually use. Then schedule the messages: directions the day before, the code on the morning of arrival, a short note after the first night. The portal is on Features.
